The story
This photo was shot before sunrise at Pier 7 in San Francisco in mid June. I woke up early hoping the famous San Francisco fog would not cover the sky completely as it had done previous mornings. When I arrived the conditions were perfect, just the top of the Transamerica Pyramid had some fog and the moon was visible through the fog. Just a few minutes after I had taken the shot the street lights went out and some fishermen came walking on the pier in the middle of the frame. It was perfect timing.
